How to style A romantic Wedding at Churchill, Taradale

Churchill in Taradale is the perfect setting for an romantic wedding. I worked with florist Prunella and Laura from Weddings of Desire to create this intimate wedding set-up.

Location

Churchill - a little slice of Europe in Australia - a beautiful gothic church that dates back to 1859 with original stained glass windows and an antique patina latte, grey and greens on the internal walls. Handmade rusted metal chandeliers suspended from the soaring old oak beams and trusses.

Colour Palette

A breathtaking muted colour palette of delicate nudes, washed ivory and cream, soft oyster grey, Cinderella blue and Bois de rose contrasted with classic green.

Floral Details

Delicate, whimsical spring garden floral in a beautiful classic green and white colour palette. Trailing clematis, garden roses and fresh green beech. Unstructured and natural.

Tablescape/Decor Details

Romantic and poetic, flowing dove grey silks and linen with raw finishes line the intimate tablescape, scattered candles in a mix of brass and crystal holders among unstructured florals and greenery, elegant white tableware and silver cutlery sets. Candles cascaded from the stage highlighting the greenery, flowers and stained glass.

Stationery

A soft neutral palette of terracotta, buttermilk and off white, simple and understated design, black letterpress on textured cotton stock, typeface of stylised serif, creating a modern twist on classic typography.

Advice for couples who want to go with this look for their wedding

This look is ideal for a more intimate wedding in the cooler months of the year. Creating ambience and atmosphere with layering and the twinkling of candlelight. Ethereal and beautiful.
